a new 20,000 square foot facility at 9340 West US 20, Shipshewana, Indiana.
Shipshe Trailer & Fab was organized by Mark Schlabach, Joe Schlabach, and Vernon Bontrager in 2006. The business opened in a 7000 square foot building at 8435 West US 20, Shipshewana, Indiana. In 2008, Vernon sold his portion of the business to Paul Schlabach, Mark and Joe’s brother. Their business rapidly grew and in 2011 they opened a new 20,000 square foot facility at 9340 West US 20, Shipshewana, Indiana.
During this time, the Schlabach brothers developed their signature product which is a 53’ step deck trailer featuring a 12” front step, a 34” deck height, and a 10’ dovetail. This product is available with many features that are tailored to transporting RV’s, Cars, and long loads of freight. In, addition to these trailers, they fabricate a variety of products: 5 Car Haulers, Semi Trailers, 53’ Marine Trailers, Haul & Tow truck beds, light weight and medium duty utility truck beds, aluminum loading ramps, & a wide variety of truck hitches.
